THIS POSITION IS SUBJECT TO CIVIL SERVICE LAWS UNDER SECTION 124 OF THE
OHIO REVISED CODE,
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in computer information systems with nine years of
information systems experience including three in a supervisory capacity; or any
equivalent combination of training and experience. Ohio L E A D S Certification is required
after employment
RESPONSIBILITIES: The CRlS Manager is responsible for collecting, managing and
distributing computerized criminal justice information to various criminal justice agencies
Responsible for managing the operations and services of CRlS Facilitates and supports
the CRlS Board of Advisors. Oversees CRlS user contract management, billing, accounts
receivable, and accounts payable. Oversees vendor contract negotiation and
management. Responsible for equipment/asset inventory and management. Responsible
for facility management, makes staffing recommendations, oversees personnel
supervision and personnel management. Coordinates overall budget planning,
management and fiscal reporting. Market CRlS services and recruit new clients.
Facilitates the coordination of new subscriber orientation and training, facilitates the
research and development of new technologies to improve and enhance client services.
Responsible for insuring agency and user compliance with rules and regulations
established by Ohio Law Enforcement Automated Data System (LEADS) and the Federal
Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS). Provides CRlS user advocacy thru active
participation in appropriate criminal justice forums such as the Ohio LEADS Steering
Committee, Ohio Criminal Justice lnformation System Policy Board, Ohio
Incident Based Reporting System Advisors Board, Cuyahoga County Justice System
Reform Project and the Cuyahoga County Police Chiefs Association. Serve as law
enforcement and court liaison for the Department of Justice Affairs and perform other
related duties as required.
