| Subject: New Philadelphia PD giving civil service test. The New Philadelphia Police Department will be giving a civil service test for police officers on Wednesday April 29, 2009 at 7:00 PM EST in the Tuscora Park Pavilion at 161 Tuscora Ave. NW, New Philadelphia, Ohio 44663. The written examination will be given at that time. Those applicants who pass the written examination will be given an agility test (Coopers Test) at a later date. Before being hired as an officer all training must be completed and certification as a peace officer in the State of Ohio must be obtained. Such certificates must be filed prior to hiring. All applicants must be 21 years of age and veterans must file a true copy of their discharge for military service credit. Those interested in taking the test shall apply by completing an application form available at the Administrative Assistant’s Office, Suite 102, 2nd floor of the John Knisely Municipal Center, 150 East High, New Philadelphia, Ohio 44663 or online at www.newphilaoh.com.
